Founded in 1887, James Adam and Sons Ltd, trading as Adam’s, is Ireland's foremost Fine Art Auctioneers and Valuers. Located on St Stephen's Green in the heart of Dublin, the company's specialist expertise in fine arts encompasses sales of both Important Irish Art, and Contemporary and Modern Art. Numerous world records for individual Irish artists have been achieved in Adam's salerooms, particularly in the sale of Irish visual art. The company also has extensive knowledge in the valuation of individual artworks and art collections, and in the Irish art market.

Executive Expertise

The Chairman of Adam's is Brian Coyle FIAVI FRICS – a Fellow of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute, as well as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He is President of the Board of Visitors of the National Museum and a frequent lecturer at UCD and the IAVI evening courses. The Managing Director of Adam's is James O’Halloran FIAVI BA – a Fellow and former President of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute. O’Halloran joined the firm in 1982. He also lectures in UCD, UL and the IAVI evening courses. They are supported by several other highly qualified experts in fine art valuation, provenance, and the sale and marketing of visual arts.
