Kinsale Art GalleryFounded in 1998 by art-lover Brian Andrews, who still personally selects all artworks displayed, the Kinsale Art Gallery is a small informal art space in County Cork, looking out over the harbour with spectacular views of Charles Fort and the Old Head of Kinsale. Aimed at first-time art as well as experienced collectors, the gallery focuses on Irish artists. Displays include paintings, drawings and prints in oils and watercolours by leading contemporary Irish artists, including Arthur Maderson, Gladys Maccabe, Colin Gibson and James Brohan. Subjects encompass landscapes, seascapes, marine pictures, figure paintings, still life, genre scenes, and sport. The Kinsale Art Gallery stages mini-exhibitions throughout the year, details of which are available on the galleries website. |
