About
Founded in 1936, Memphis College of Art is a center for art and design education. It is one of only 4 independent nationally accredited art colleges in the south and is the only one to offer graduate degrees. MCA offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees in visual art at undergraduate level. These BFA include: BFA in photography, digital media (animation and digital cinema), fine arts (with focus on drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture) and design art (with focus on digital media, graphic design, illustration and sequential narrative). The college offers a 2 year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Art where graduates are encouraged to use medium which best expresses their concepts. This includes traditional studio and new media practices of painting, sculpture, drawing, small metals, photography, printmaking, animation, performance art, video and installation.

Nossi College of Art, Nashville

About
A private art college, Nossi focuses on training professionals for the business of visual communications. The college offers 3 innovative degrees: Bachelor of Graphic Arts (BGA) Degree; BGA in Commercial Illustration and the BGA in Digital Photography and Video. Illustration students learn the fundamentals of computer graphics, electronic imaging and production. The best illustration software packages are used including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, Maya and ZBrush. Additionally students explore different genres of illustration from book publishing, advertising and sequential art. Students also practice a variety of mediums from acrylic and oil painting, to watercolours, gouache, oil and chalk pastels and computer-generated illustrations.

University of Tennessee, School of Art, Knoxville

About
The University of Tennessee is classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a Doctoral/Research Extensive institution. The School of Art has a strong national and international reputation and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The school offers Bachelor of Arts (majors in Studio Art and Art History); Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art; and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Computer Art. The courses are designed for students wishing to pursue careers as professional artists, computer artists, gallery directors, and museum staff and arts administration. The Artist-in-Residence Program and visiting artists enhances the teaching environment. Students run and maintain the University's non-profit exhibition space, Gallery 1010 which operates under the Art Student Advisory Committee. The Ewing Gallery of Art and Architecture and the University of Tennessee Downtown Gallery offer exhibition space to national and international artists.

About
Founded in 1885, Watkins College of Art, Design & Film provides a studio-based curriculum supported by a strong academic foundation. The college is accredited through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design is additionally accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The college offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees in Fine Arts, Photography, Film, Graphic Design and Interior Design. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Film are also available. The Fine Art program includes courses on drawing, sculpture, painting, clay and time based media.
