Here is a selected list of arts groups from around Ireland.

A group of artists who recently graduated with BA(Hons) degrees in Visual Arts Practice from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.

Artspace is a collective of Irish artists based in Galway, sharing studio space and exhibiting together.

Backwater Artists Group
Established in 1990 by graduates from Crawford College of Art and Design. Mainly Irish painting and mixed media, but some sculpture.

Catalyst Arts
Catalyst Arts is Belfast's primary not-for-profit artist led organisation.

Cork Artists Collective
Mick O'Shea, Irene Murphy, Margeret Fitzgibbon, Billy Foley, Colette Lewis, Una Quigley, Niamh Lawlor, Colette Nolan, David O'Brien, Andrew Johnson. Cork Artists Collective provides artists an area to develop projects and events. Also, offers a residency program.

Cork Printmakers
Founded in 1991 by a number of fine art printmakers in Cork.

The Defastenists

Kube Artists Group

La Catedral Studios - Dublin
24 artist's studios and is also home to THE BACK LOFT, a multi-purpose venue for the arts. For hire for fine art exhibitions, installation work, photo shoots and art workshops including life drawing.

Limerick Art Society
One of the longest established art societies. Founded in 1942 the society has an annual exhibition at the Limerick City Gallery of Art.

Maclise Art Society
Cork's longest established and most prominent art society, honouring the Irish historical painter Daniel Maclise. Membership is over 100 and includes amateur and experienced artists in the mediums of acrylic, watercolour, oil, gouache and mixed media.

Mill Street Studios
Artist studios in the centre of Dublin with exhibition space for hire. Also has a spacious gallery area available for hire and a small 15 seater video theatre with surround audio.

Mongrel Foundation
Dublin based visual art collective with five core members collaborating with other artists, graphic designers and musicians. Karl Burke, Rhona Byrne, Mark Garry, Gillian Kane, Gavin Murphy.

Moxie Art Collective
All members of Moxie studied Fine Art in Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and graduated in 2006. Eimear Aherne, David Bailey, Gillian Carroll, Jonathan Curran, Anita Delaney, Sheena Dempsey, Hannah Doyle, Rory Draper, Ross Mackay, Keith McCann, Aoife Merrigan, Michael Murphy, Fiona O'Connor, Kelly O'Connor, and Kathryn Ryan.

National Sculpture Factory
Founded in Cork City in 1989, in response to a need among exponents of Irish sculpture for affordable studio space and ancilliary services.

Projector is a collective of artists established in late 2006. Formed by core members John Carter, Anthony Kelly and Jay Roche it aims to create an arena for creative activity in the visual arts. By providing support and funding it hopes to allow its artists to bring projects to completion. It encourages collaboration and an open attitude to authorship.

SEED is a Dublin based group devoted to developing creative projects connecting Irish art and science, including informal salons, exhibitions, workshops and performances.

Talbot Gallery
The Talbot Gallery and Studios were established in the Summer of 2005 by Elaine Grainger to promote emerging artists and to provide a space they can work and exhibit.

Westmeath Artists Movement
WAM is a collective of Westmeath artists working in a variety of media: including visual artists, sculptors, film makers, actors, writers and musicians, but all with the common goal of developing the arts in Westmeath.
