The Art Department at Edgewood College is a hub for culture and visual art in the state of Wisconsin. Majors offered are: Art, Design Teaching, Art Therapy and Graphic Design. Minors are: Art, History of Art and Photography. Courses include painting, ceramics, drawing, video, computer graphics, digital photography and typography. Facilities available for students include the DeRicci Gallery which hosts local and regional artists as well as provides space for senior shows. The Painted Forest Art Studio and Study Center is a learning facility for art workshops and educational programs.

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) was founded in 1920 and is Wisconsin's only college devoted exclusively to the education of artists and designers. The college offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in various types of art including drawing, painting, illustration, printmaking, photography, sculpture, time-based media, industrial design, communication, integrated studio arts, interior architecture and design. Minors are offered in advertising, art history, business, studio and writing.

About
Subjects at the Art Department of University of Wisconsin-Madison are taught in well-equipped studio facilities which. Specialties include painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, metalsmithing, glass, papermaking, photography, furniture-making, digital media, video and performance art. Degrees offered are: BS, BFA, MA & MFA; Studio Art BS, MA and Art Education PhD. The graphics courses cover relief print, intaglio, serigraphy, lithography, paper making, digital printmaking, book arts, photography and graphic design. Photography can be studied alone or with other disciplines including printmaking, typography, installation art, video and Web-based work. Courses in glass medium are given in facilities where most hot and cold working methods can be achieved. The MA program is aimed at teachers who will return to K-12 education with advanced educational understandings and studio skills. A PhD with an emphasis in art education is offered as a major through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

Established in 1973, Wisconsin Lutheran College offers courses in a caring Christian environment. The college offers 34 majors and 22 minors. Art courses are designed to promote visual thinking, creative expression, design and critical analysis. The Art Major includes courses on: Art Foundations, Art Appreciation, Art Studio, Portfolio and Cultural Enrichment (music, theatre, film or dance). All Art majors must attend at least 2 cultural events, 2 visual arts events and at least one college art program a year.
